The school organized a welcome and orientation program for the newly enrolled Master’s students on March 16, 2021, in Pokhara. The School has recently admitted the students in M Pharm (Natural Products Chemistry), M Pharm (Clinical Pharmacy), MPH (Public Health Service Management), MPH (Health Promotion Education), MSc (Medical Microbiology) and MSc (Medical Biochemistry) programs. The students were successful in the national post-graduate entrance exam conducted by the Medical Education Commission of Nepal.
The Vice-Chancellor of Pokhara University, Prof. Dr. Prem Narayan Aryal speaking as the chief guest of the function highlighted the activity of community service of the health science students apart from the regular educational and research activities. Prof. Dr. Bishnu Raj Tiwari, Registrar of the University and Dr. Nirmala Jamarkattel, Dean Faculty of Health Sciences speaking as the special guests of the function welcomed the newly enrolled students and wished them a successful stay at the University. In the program, Asst. Prof. Atis Kaundinnyayna delivered the welcome note while Dr. Hari Prasad Kaphle delivered the vote of thanks.
In the program, Mr. Narayan Prasad Dhakal, Chief Drug Administrator from Ministry of Health and Population, Government of Nepal, Mr. Khim Bahadur Khadka, Director of the Province Health Logistic Management Center and Health Training Centre, Prof. Dr. Shishir Gokhale, Manipal College of Medical Sciences, Pokhara and Prof. Dr. Madhab Lamsal BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan as the invited motivational speakers orientated the students regarding the scope of the higher study of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health and Laboratory Sciences respectively.
The program was chaired by Dr. Tulsi Ram Bhandari, Director of the School and emceed by Ms. Sharada Banstola, administration chief of the school.
